The University of Hawaii women’s basketball team fell to 1-3 on the season after losing to Idaho 50-40 in the Bank of Hawaii Classic on Sunday night at the Stan Sheriff Center in Honolulu.
Imani Perez had 12 points and Daejah Phillips added 11 for the Rainbow Wahine, who shot just 29.4 percent (15 of 55) from the field and 4 of 21 from behind the arc. Brooklyn Rewers pulled down nine rebounds but was held to two points.
Sarah Brans scored 12 to lead the Vandals (3-1), who actually shot worse than UH at 25.5 percent overall, though they won the rebounding battle 44-38.
Hawaii next hosts the Rainbow Wahine Showdown, taking on Air Force on Friday, Idaho State on Saturday and Washington on Sunday.
