Bugatti Type 35C

1929 Bugatti Type 35C

Bugatti race cars have won more races than any other marque. Most of these victories can be attributed to the Type 35 which raced from 1924 through to 1930. In the 3 year span from 1924 on, Bugatti cars took 1045 victories. This was largely due to the accessibility of the car to both amateur & professional drivers.

In 1927 the Type 35B was followed by the 35C. The 35C was supercharged like the 35B, but featured a bore and stroke resembling the 1925 2-liter engine. Despite the decrease in displacement the horsepower rating remained largely unchanged.

The 35C also received a revised braking system & a larger radiator compared to the 35B.

Overall, the type 35 has an amazing road handling ability. It’s exceptionally rigid chassis provided for exceptional control and driver confidence.
